Barbecue and grilling are often confused because they both involve flames and cooking meat. Real old school barbecue happens when you place a large cut of meat or ribs in closed pit and let it cook indirectly (away from the fire) with the low heat and smoke of a charcoal and or wood fire.
Life is short, so why eat bland FOOD? HoBo’s BBQ is a FOODIES dream, with a combined 30 years of culinary experience, allowing us to produce the BEST of the BEST BBQ that only Southern Californians deserve.
Using the finest quality smoker in the business we use an Ole Hickory Pits SSE, along with the finest meats like our Beef Brisket that is C.A.B. (Certified Angus Beef) its hard not to have a top-notch product. Our Veggies are always sourced locally first, and are hand picked each day before use. All of our side dishes are prepared fresh throughout the day using only the finest ingredients.
When is comes to smoking, we do it every day, and long days at that. We smoke our Briskets and Pork Butts for about 16 hours. They are hand rubbed with our own in house signature rub that incorporates 11 ingredients, which includes Cinnamon, Coffee and Chocolate. We do not serve the meals with sauce on them but we do offer several sauces that we make in house, we have the Natural, the Sweet Agave and the Tangy Chipotle.
If you prefer cafeteria slop that’s smothered in canned BBQ sauce so that you don’t have to taste the food, or if you prefer a POOR excuse for BBQ from a place that offers free items to get you in their door, well, you’re in luck, there are plenty of those places close by.
